Haida the German Shepherd took her cart to the beach the day it arrived

" I have had the pleasure of utilizing Eddie's Wheels on many of my clients and been 100% satisified with each and every fitting.  The carts are superbly constructed with excellent consideration for the dog's disability, body mechanics and function.  I have never had a case of skin breakdown or rejection by an animal.  In addition, the carts are built to handle a variety of conditions as well as the entire scheme of body sizes.  Each cart is individually designed for the animal to insure proper positioning and fit.  Eddie and Leslie are empathetic and genuinely have the animals best interests in mind at all times.  Their commitment and dedication make their products paramount to any others.  As far as I am concerned, there is only one cart I recommend to any of my clients, Eddie's Wheels."

When our own dog, Buddha, lost her mobility due to disc disease, we built her a dogcart to help her get around. After so many years of faithful service, she deserved a chance to rehabilitate and enjoy life while she healed. That meant a cart designed to allow her to explore the woods, wade in the river, and play with other dogs, as she had always done. After several months in her cart, she gradually, miraculously, regained her ability to walk on her own again. She proved to us that given time and care, dogs with disabilities can not only survive, sometimes they can heal. And we have learned from the hundreds of disabled pets we have built carts for since then, that even those with permanent disabilities can enjoy life in their wheels.

Since then, the cart has evolved into a lightweight aluminum vehicle with a welded frame, machined fittings, stainless steel hardware and molded closed-cell foam padding.

  • Each cart is custom designed and built to your dog's measurements and for its specific needs. Besides our basic rear wheel cart, we design and build carts for front leg disability, counter-balanced carts for those with weak forelimbs, and carts for amputees.

  • Your pet can easily relieve itself and perform   its normal bodily functions while in the cart.

  • The cart opens for easy entry and exit.

  • Each cart adjusts approximately 20% in height and length.

  • To prevent damage to your pets' feet due to dragging and knuckling, we have several types of stirrups designed to elevate and protect your pet's feet while providing maximum mobility.

  • Other options include chest and belly supports, and front-mounted training wheels for pets with balance problems due to old age or stroke.

  • Yes, we build carts for cats too.
